Windows: create an installation USB drive with Rufus

  1. Download the ISO file for Windows 10 or 11 in your language from the Microsoft page.
  2. Insert an empty USB drive with at least 8 GB. All data on it will be deleted.
  3. Start Rufus, select the USB drive and the ISO file and click “Start”.
  4. Boot the PC from the USB drive and follow the installation. Enter the product key when asked, or later in Settings under “Activation”.

Install Office, Project and Visio (2019–2024) with the Office Deployment Tool

  1. Download the Office Deployment Tool from the Microsoft page and extract it to a folder, e.g. C:\ODT.
  2. If your delivery contains a template for the file configuration.xml, create this file in this folder. Otherwise, use the installation files from your delivery.
  3. Open the Command Prompt as administrator in this folder and run “setup.exe /configure configuration.xml”.
  4. Then start an Office app and check the activation under “File” › “Account”.
