Microsoft Project 2021 Standard for agencies and freelancers
Microsoft Project 2021 Standard is project planning software for Windows that is sold and installed independently of Microsoft Office. The Standard edition is aimed at users who plan their projects at their own workstation and do not need a server connection.
In small advertising and web agencies, for example, the program helps to structure a campaign from the briefing through concept, design and correction rounds to go-live. Freelance copywriters, designers or developers can keep track of client deadlines and see early on when jobs overlap.
Version 2021 makes sense above all where it is already in use and further workstations are to be equipped consistently.

Standard, Professional or 2024?
Compared with Project 2021 Professional, the Standard edition lacks the Team Planner, resource planning across multiple projects, the connection to Project Server and Skype for Business presence. As long as one person handles the planning, you will hardly miss these features. Project 2024 Standard offers a similar scope but receives security updates for considerably longer.

Support period
Microsoft support for Project 2021 ends on 13 October 2026. From then on, no further security fixes will be released. Your licence remains valid and the program remains usable. If you want to use Project for many years, version 2024 with support until 9 October 2029 is the more sensible choice.
How purchase and activation work
- Order: Once payment has been received, the licence key with instructions is sent by email, usually within a few minutes.
- Install: Download the installation files from Microsoft or via our download link.
- Activate: Enter the key and activate online with the manufacturer, in some cases by phone. We can help by email at info@keychannel.de and, on request, via remote support.
