Microsoft Visio 2019 Professional for floor plans, building and process plans
Microsoft Visio 2019 Professional is the extended edition of the diagramming program from the 2019 release. Visio is not included in Office and is licensed as a standalone Windows application. To be frank from the outset: Microsoft ended support for Visio 2019 on 14 October 2025.
This version is used, for example, in facility management and property management. There, floor plans of office floors, occupancy plans or overviews of building services are created; data linking lets you display room numbers, floor areas or tenants from an Excel list in the plan. Organisation departments also model business processes in BPMN.
Visio 2019 Professional makes sense above all if your plans and stencils are already maintained in this version and further workstations are to be set up identically.

Differences from Standard and from later versions
Visio 2019 Standard covers flowcharts, organisation charts and basic shapes. Professional extends this with templates for UML, BPMN, networks, databases and engineering, as well as data linking, comments and validation rules. Visio 2021 and 2024 are related in features and also use the .vsdx format. Without an existing 2019 environment, we recommend Visio 2024 because of its ongoing support.

Support period
Visio 2019 has no longer been supported since 14 October 2025. Microsoft no longer provides security updates for this version. The software can still be installed and used, and the licence is perpetual. Take the end of support into account, particularly on PCs with internet access.
How purchase and activation work
- Order: Once payment has been received, the licence key with instructions is sent by email, usually within a few minutes.
- Install: Download the installation files from Microsoft or via our download link.
- Activate: Enter the key and activate online with the manufacturer, in some cases by phone. We can help by email at info@keychannel.de and, on request, via remote support.

Wenn Ihre Pläne, Schablonen oder Arbeitsplätze bereits auf Visio 2019 abgestimmt sind, bleibt die Umgebung einheitlich. Ohne diese Vorgabe empfehlen wir Visio 2024 mit Support bis 09.10.2029.

Ja. Die Professional-Edition bietet unter anderem Vorlagen für Grundrisse und Gebäudepläne sowie BPMN-, Netzwerk- und Engineering-Schablonen.
Erhält Visio 2019 noch Sicherheitsupdates?
Nein. Der Support endete am 14.10.2025. Das Programm funktioniert weiter, bekommt aber keine Updates mehr.
